i love autumn

i think i've mentioned it before

maybe because my birthday is right in the first official week of fall- when the leaves have all completely turned color and are starting to fall

but anyways, i have still failed to get my own picture of the river valley

but i have taken pictures of the trees in my own backyard

so to all my couzies in m'sia- these are for you (or "ces sont pour vous" as my french teacher would make me say....)

i hope you like them- i am doing this instead of my Chemistry lab write-up....oh well...blogging is so much more fun....and is distracting me from my always-frustrating Oilers



our aspen tree- technically it's supposed to turn yellow, but these are genetically retarded or something so they have red leaves. which is fine with me, cuz the red leaves are my favorite :D


close up of the red leaves....it's actually so cool to see how the red pigmentation spreads every day...except these trees are slow and still have 50% green leaves...weird


more red....sorry the pictures are so dark....i took them in the evening...when the sun was setting....i have really bad timing....



our silver maple tree....they turn kinda yellow...and shrivelly and ugly looking...but in the summer the leaves are really pretty....why is this tree so skinny?



my dying rosebush...i've been trying to make it grow lots for the past three-four years....and it's still so small....reminds me of my mei-mei


our apple tree.....with very tiny apples....the tree is only a few years old, so it's not ready to bear big apples yet...but hopefully the apples will be really yummy....not like our cherries....our stupid cherry tree grows to sourest cherries ever.....i want a refund for the tree



close up of the apple tree- half the leaves fell already....and i have a feeling i will be asked to rake the dead leaves this weekend....anyways, you can see how weird the tree is- one yellow leaf for every two green leaves....

i'm working on getting better pics...but i have no luck with timing....and i still have no idea how to get pics of my cellphone onto the computer...

by the way Wenz and Enwei you should totally come to Canada during the Vancouver Winter Olympics- and here is my amaaaaazing list why you should come:
1) because i want you to
2) because you have school vacation during the winter olympics
3) because you get to come to canada
4) because you get to see winter and snow
5) because you get to see mountains....like the ones you can ski on and often fall down on
6) because you will make snowballs...and snowmen...and snow forts...and snow angels
7) because you will see snowflakes through a magnifying glass- SO COOL (even i never get tired of seeing different snowflakes)
8) because then we can have the ultimate mahjong partay
9) because then i would actually have relatives physically in Canada with me (i'm so alone)
10) BECAUSE I MISS YOU
