anyways, Oilers won last night
7-6-1
muahahaha...we managed not to die against NYR
and Hemmer's shootout goal just made me laugh
but again...Gagner did not register a goal or more than 3 points on this road trip. meaning i am saying goodbye to his picture in my locker. i dunno...i'm debating whether to put up Kyle Turris or Patrick Kane next.
i'm hoping gagner is just going through the sophomore jinx. cuz he actually didn't play that badly last night. He was doing all the right things, with minimal giveaways and mistakes. if he keeps that up, i'm sure pucks will start going in the net for him. eventually.
but YAYS FOR HEMSKY

I got my hair cut on saturday
i am very depressed
the hairdresser cut off like 2 inches. on someone who stands at only 5ft 2, 2 inches is a huge deal.
now my hair is short. and ugly.
i am going to be eating a lot of those chinese foods that make hair grow faster

but yes, (happy?) Remembrance Day
actually, it was kind of scary
the number of students from OSA that died fighting in WWII number more than my entire grade. so it would be like the entire grade 12 population just never came back
that would be so scary. especially because i would be one of the students not coming back.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
— Lt.-Col. John McCrae
