I'm an ever changing, ever developing person still looking for my little niche in the world. I believe in miracles, dreams that come true, and unfailing love. Friends and family make my world go round, and the hand that holds my world belongs to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I love singing, dancing in the rain, laughing until I can't breathe, pretty things, children, and hot hockey boys. The Edmonton Oilers are the hockey team of my heart, and I cheer for Team Canada with every ounce of my being every year at the World Juniors. My most treasured possession is probably my violin- it's been through all the ups and downs of the past 5 years with me, and taken all my frustrations.
What more can I say? I'm a pretty average person- I go to school, I work, I eat a lot, and I have a lot of love to give.
I don't know what the future has in store for me, neither do I have an idea of what I want that future to look like. I'm just taking one day at a time, trying to remain patient as the story of my life unfolds before me.
GUESS WHAT. I GOT MY INTERNET BACK. MUAHAHAHAHA. AND THE OILERS WON LAST NIGHT!!!
anyways. OSA's Got Talent was a good show. I was excited. I had only three classes, then like 4 hours of free time before the show. So in the end, Steph, Kathy, Lois, Naushin, Mieke and I went out for dinner and bubble tea.
Then the wait...we thought since we're grade 12 seniors we'd try to get special treatment so we could get good seats....FAIL. But we did get to pay early so we didn't have to line up...haha...poor Mat...letting us bully him. BTW he fails at drawing hearts. They didn't have stamps this time, so I asked him to draw a heart on my hand instead of scribbling on some random shape....again FAIL.

So we got seats right under/in front of the tech booth, at the very top/center of the bleachers. Which is good, cuz we got to lean on the wall. I hate sitting on the bottom rows of the bleachers...kills my back...were joined by Sam Lam and Steven Hyunh, who kept me very entertained all night. lols Steven "I have the voice of an angel...when I'm not singing..."
The first section was the vocal category. First up were the Tandoori Brothas (Cieran/C-Train, Faiz, Vik/Rap-Rafta..something...Raptasaurus?) OMG SO FUNNY. They wrote their own rap and omgsh...i died laughing. David and Eric were literally rolling on the sides dying of laughter. They got 2nd place.
Next was NATAPON!!! SO GOOD NAT!!! She performed a cover of The Adventure by Angels and Airwaves...so pretty. 3rd place baby!
Then Tanya and Lydia performed All or Nothing....I did not know this song. But it was a brave performance- they went a capella, so props to them for staying in the right key!

Then Susannah and Brandon performed Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. AHHHHHHH SUSANNAH!!!! Susannah my dear, you have the voice of an angel. Needless to say, they won 1st place in the vocal category. Really good duet, they worked well together.

Next was Jeff Choiboy, who did a medley of a bunch of different songs. The only thing I have to comment on is his questionable song choice...singing the chorus from Your Body Is Wonderland...hmmmm...AWKWARD...lols jk jk
Lastly was Hyun-Soo and Cieran (how many acts were you in Cieran?) in a lovely duet. They sang No Air by Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks. Hyun-Soo has such amazing vibrato...ENVY. LOLS- Hyun Soo and Cieran were standing really far apart, so Hyun Soo tried to move over to him...but her mic cord was too short...so she tried to signal Cieran like "come-hither" lols...FAIL...Cieran continued to stand over on the far stage-left...doing his own thing...haha

The next section was the Band category. There were only two entries. First was Mayday (spelling?), consisting of Brandon, John John, Moses and Kelvin. They performed an ORIGINAL SONG OMGSH. Brandon wrote the music, and Moses/John/Brandon wrote the lyrics...SO PRO. I listened to Brandon's demo (he mixed it himself and everything at home! CRAZY) and I was so impressed at how professional it was, and how good the song was. So proud of them. Go boys go! They won first in the band category.
Then came Cieran (again) and David, who totally pwned me in their cover of Apologize. Gosh. David. The reason I stopped competing in violin. Man, I wish the video was high quality...David's facial expressions are SO FUNNY. And Cieran can keep his falsetto crown for another year.

Lastly was the dance section. First was Electrify- made up of Kristiann, Hyun-Soo, Joy and Iyla. Wow. Kristiann is so sassy, and her krumping was so intense. They got third place.
Second was ERIC!!!! WUSHU!!! My goodness, I'm scared of him now...I do not want to mess with him...SECOND PLACE. ASIAN PRIDE

Lastly was Hip Hop Club! They've improved so much since Winter Lit, and I loved how they incorporated everything from krumping to tutting. 1ST PLACE!!!!

Haha...special surprise! Grad Council decided to join in the fun, and performed a routine to Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire!!! props to Ann who taught everyone the choreography! Eric Epp (far stage-left) was SO FUNNY....omgsh...i died laughing...too bad you can't see his facial expression...SO FUNNY. And Mat fron and center? Oh Mat....And Emerson in the back? LOLS Steph and Sam Lam were like "He looks like a male cowboy stripper...". Right when they were saying that, I was taking a sip from my bubble tea...and I spat out the partial sip i had taken...I was laughing so hard...but male stripper? that was uncalled for. I'm never going to be able to look at Emerson with a straight face again.
