I'm an ever changing, ever developing person still looking for my little niche in the world. I believe in

laughing until I can't breathe, pretty things, children, and hot hockey boys. The
Edmonton Oilers are the hockey team of my heart, and I cheer for
Team Canada with every ounce of my being every year at the World Juniors. My most treasured possession is probably my
violin- it's been through all the ups and downs of the past 5 years with me, and taken all my frustrations.
What more can I say? I'm a pretty average person- I go to school, I work, I eat a lot, and I have a lot of love to give.
I don't know what the future has in store for me, neither do I have an idea of what I want that future to look like. I'm just
taking one day at a time, trying to remain patient as the
story of my life unfolds before me.

Alexei Cherepanov

On a sad note, I just found out that the young Russian hockey superstar Alexei Cherepanov died. He collapsed in the middle of his hockey game in Russia, and no one was able to revive him. I remember watching him at the 2007 NHL Draft Pick and during the summer Super Series. He showed so much promise, and I initially wanted Edmonton to draft him. This is an awful loss for the hockey world, as he had so much potential to be an elite superstar in the NHL. Cherepanov was only 19 years old. Two years older than me.
This is awful. First Luc Bourdon died in a motorcycle accident over the summer. Now Alexei Cherepanov. Both were under the age of 21. Both had yet to play a full season in the NHL. Both had yet to have the opportunity to grow playoff beards. It's just so terrible to lose such young energetic people, let alone hockey players
